Estate managers are struggling to manage their multi-family properties and provide quality experience for residents, especially in the post-COVID world with more residents working from home. The future of real estate will require even more extensive engagement between estate managers and their residents. Closer to home, Nigeria is predicted to have the world’s third largest population by 2050, with one of the fastest urbanisation rates globally. The future of Nigeria is in its cities and local communities.

I’m Muyideen, co-founder | CEO of GatePass and I’d like to personally thank you for your interest in GatePass.
We started GatePass because we were frustrated by the experience of visiting our friends and loved ones in communities across Nigeria. What we’ve come to realise after speaking to over 100 communities and discussing with our users is we’re solving an even bigger problem - Trust within and between community members.
What is our definition of a community?
e.g. a town, neighbourhood, apartment block, estate, office, country club, school etc.
What we have observed in African communities, in particular, is that the fabric of society is breaking down and due to rapid and organic urbanisation we are no longer unified by our common interests as a collective society and individual levels of society from top to bottom.
The number of competing interests results in a high level of ineffective and wasteful activity; most efforts made at aligning interests or bridging the gaps result in us talking at each other and not with one another; such is the breakdown of trust in society.
We believe that through technology, transparency, empathy and community we can build the society that we would all be proud of living in and would work for more people vs the status quo we have today.
This has made our vision clear - Helping Communities Grow Together
GatePass aims to deliver on this vision by connecting community leaders and their residents on the issues that matter, enabling them to collaborate, harmonise goals, build trust and grow together as a community.
We’ve started our journey towards this mission by building a platform - GatePass; that focuses on the smallest organised set of interests in today’s world - your communities where you live, work and socialise.
